There are tools we can use to help us to structure the person centered care we are delivering, but how are those tools helping us to understand that "how" we support matters and the "Person Centered Care" we are delivering comes from the "connection" we make, not the procedure we deliver.

The lens we look through when supporting our clients helps them to either THRIVE or simply survive the journeys they are on. The support we provide for families requires us at times to be the light that shines when things get dark, the navigator when the waters get rough and the voice of reason when nothing makes sense. Helping clients look through a different lens empowers and guides so they discover and find the answers to the questions they didn’t even know the had.

Objectives

- Understanding the power of “sequence” How you start dictates where you end

- How we help matters. Are we empowering or impeding?

- Learning to use different lenses that enhance the work we do and the outcomes our clients have.

This 8hr workshop promises to be interactive, experimental and provide many opportunities to experience and discover the worlds in which we support. This workshop provides the opportunity to feel the experience instead of just learning about it.

We affect quality of life everyday as Professional Caregivers... we are doing a great job but there is room for improvement!!

Tickets include 8hr CEU BOSW transferrable to Board of Nursing, Materials and Lunch $150/participant
